Kentucky basketball is the men’s basketball program at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. The program is one of the most storied and successful college basketball programs in history, with numerous championships and an impressive list of alumni who have gone on to successful NBA careers.

Kentucky basketball has won eight NCAA championships, the second-most in history behind UCLA’s 11 championships. The program has also won 24 Southeastern Conference championships and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament 59 times, the most of any school in history.

Kentucky has had many legendary coaches, including Adolph Rupp, who led the program to four national championships and a record 876 wins, and current coach John Calipari, who has led the program to one national championship and four Final Four appearances since taking over in 2009.

Some of the most famous players in college basketball history have played for Kentucky, including Anthony Davis, John Wall, Jamal Mashburn, Dan Issel, Pat Riley, and Rajon Rondo, among many others. Kentucky basketball games are played at Rupp Arena, which has a capacity of 20,545.
